Spicy Skillet Cornbread

Vegetarian

  • 2 1/2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 T butter, melted
  • 3 T honey
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 5-oz bottle Organic Tomatillo Hot Sauce
  • butter for the skillet

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, combine wet ingredients. Add the wet mixture into the dry, stirring just enough to thoroughly combine. Grease a 10 inch skillet with butter, and then heat up in oven. Pour mixture into the hot skillet and bake 25-30 min until the top is golden brown and the center is firm to the touch.
